It's a girl!!

Here are pictures of our baby girl at 18+5 weeks! We are still elated at finally finding out that we are having a girl in February. I am super excited and so is Sean. We were shocked when we found out because we both thought it was a boy and pretty much everyone else's guess was a boy as well. The rest of the scan (after finding out gender) was very in depth. They need to make measurements of femur bone, head circumference, nuchal fold, nose, and a good look at the heart. It all came out perfect and it was very cool to see everything in detail. We did find out that I have an anterior placenta which means that the placenta attached on the front side of my uterus. It's at the top so baby girl is kind of squished at the bottom. It just means that feeling movement for me won't be as much until later in the pregnancy. I do feel movement but only a couple of times a day. As she gets bigger I will feel her more and more. Yesterday I had the pleasure of feeling her kick outside of my stomach for the first time! She kicked right into my arm. Now I can't wait for Sean to feel it too! He has felt some slight movements outside but nothing quite that big yet. Soon enough :)
So back to our day of our ultrasound!
Sean had taken the day off work so after our ultrasound we went and had lunch together in the University district and then headed to Marshall's to shop a little bit. We found some great sales and bought some great outfits for her. We also went to Babies r us to add some girly items to our registry. We had a great day and it all seems more real now that we know we are having a daughter. (Still is a little surreal to me but I love it!)

  1. Congrats!!! That is so exciting. I also have an anterior placenta and sadly my little girls movements didn't get regular until about 25 weeks so your doing good at 18.
